A photographic series showing a customs house, which has been disused for several years, in Cardiff port. The photographs show seemingly normal rooms, which once served for passport and customs clearance - gates, tables, baggage carts, documents, warning signs. There are elements there, however, which make the whole thing feel unreal, turning the building into a sort of set design for a futuristic film or the symbol of some catastrophe: holes in the ceiling, chaos in the documents, stains from rainwater and bird droppings, layers of dust covering it all.
