Rest Here

Curator: Magda Pustoła
Cooperation: Maciej Walczyna

A spatial installation. On the wall in front of the entrance a film is being projected showing an almost motionless, nostalgic frame. The viewer wants to get closer but he can't. The room's floor and walls are tilted so it's hard to maintain your balance, your sense of orientation is disturbed, causing unpleasant nausea. Something happens with space, and it suddenly starts to repulse the viewer, disturb him.

A work about Poland, about the Polish memory. About the impossibility of returning to an over-idealised past. About the need for constructive oblivion, for the ability to leave.
